I hold a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Management, a field that studies human-nature and human-human interactions and conflicts. This academic background provided me with a multidisciplinary foundation and a holistic perspective, sparking my interest in various areas of knowledge, bridging both natural and social sciences. I have a particular interest in data analysis using R to answer questions and gain insights.

I completed my master’s degree in Ecology in 2017, researching changes and perceptions within a traditional community through the lens of socio-ecological systems and the concept of ecological resilience. In 2024, I earned a Ph.D. in the same field, focusing on functional states and the heterogeneity of leaf phenology in Brazilian tropical vegetation.

Currently, I work as a teacher in a quilombola school education program in Florianópolis, and I voluntarily engage in local governance while developing independent research and outreach projects in the traditional artisanal fishing community where I live. My commitment lies in building free, counter-hegemonic knowledge aimed at ecological and social emancipation.
