Eliana Cristine Gatti

I graduated in Meteorology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina in 2019 and completed an internship at the Civil Defense of Santa Catarina, focusing on Nowcasting using remote sensing technology. During my undergraduate studies, I also engaged in two years of scientific research, investigating the response of vegetation to extreme climate events in Tropical South America. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree at the National Institute for Space Research (INPE), where I study the use of radar to forecast heavy rainfall in Brazil.
