Yan Campioni Cavalcante Dantas
Graduated in Biology in 2024 from São Paulo State University (UNESP), where I worked with botany and ecology. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Ecology at the Federal University of Pará, in Belém. My research focuses on Ecological Resilience, Alternative Stable States, and Complex Dynamic Systems Theory. In my project, I aim to understand the mechanisms of environmental and vegetation equilibrium in areas undergoing “double stress”—the control of transitions between states due to both drought and flooding in forest–savanna systems.
I am also involved in the monitoring project of the Panará Indigenous Land, seeking to investigate local biodiversity and the dynamics of the socio-ecological system through the lens of traditional knowledge. I am deeply interested in scientific events and initiatives that aim to translate scientific research into tangible benefits for society, especially in the context of current and future climate change and the approach of critical tipping points.
